Risk Prevention at Work

The Port Authority of Ceuta adopted a Health and Safety Management System with the aim of developing its health and safety policy and correctly managing the risks associated with the services it provides. The success of this Health and Safety Management System is reflected in the certificate it obtained at the end of 2006, in accordance with the OHSAS 18001:1999 specification.

This Management System guarantees the following in the Port of Ceuta:

  • An improvement in health and safety conditions at work by eliminating, reducing and controlling risks associated with the activities that are carried out.
  • A reduction in the number of accidents at work by preventing work-related accidents and illness, improving motivation among employees and reducing damage to health and deterioration.
  • Policy compliance and fulfilment of the Health and Safety objectives established by the Port Authority of Ceuta.
  • Compliance with the applicable regulations related to Risk Prevention at Work and other requirements relevant to the Port Authority of Ceuta.
  • Assessment of the performance of the preventive activities carried out, providing information for analysis and continuous improvement.
  • The introduction of more effective preventive and protective measures.
